Alian Arco founder Ian Wood says the tech behind his speaker stands involved "looking into what materials had a greater mass and did not contain any porous elements. this explains the choice of stainless steel and the roll press aluminum, the holistic approach behind the ribbing of the top and bottom base plates is to help aid vibrations spread evenly across the surface.
The turning fin serves two purposes; to help aid safety by making rear stability and to allow speakers a better sitting point, and to bring the top-ribbed plate into a more audible tune for giving greater detail and clarity across the frequency range".
The foot design was about stopping the vibration traveling off the stand and onto the floor; to machine a solid insert and keep it suspended. the spike itself is machined from a solid stainless hex bar to keep the adjust nut all in one and rigged, then screwing into the base plate insert.
